The Surf- und Sailcenter in Plakias has to close!

Hello watersport fans,

I am sorry, that I have to tell you that I had to close my SURF & SAIL CENTER in Plakias. There are a few local people around here in Crete, who think they can make there own laws, including to tell who's going to do what at Plakias Beach. So in their eyes no foreigner (and of course no woman!) can be allowed to run his own business here, even if it is a business that they would and could never run themselves. So after a lot of trouble concerning that, I decided to leave the island of Crete. Now you can find me on Naxos, the biggest island of the Cyclades, a lovely place with very beautiful beaches and constant, stable side shore winds - a very good alternative to the surf and sail spot on Crete. I am working for the Flisvos Sportclub and am looking forward to see you there. Best wishes from the whole SURF & SAIL CENTER TEAM
